Kamal

Kamal Kamal is a Java/J2EE design and development veteran, with over 14 years of experience developing and architecting solutions for various domains including Trading/Investment Banking, eCommerce, Business Intelligence (BI) and Network Management. Kamal has been using Spring and related technologies, along with other J2EE tools/frameworks (like Hibernate, jBPM, Drools, Webwork, Struts, AspectJ, Groovy, Grails, GWT etc) extensively in his work; some of his code has been released as Open-source and is actively being used by the community (http://grails.org/Jbpm+Plugin and http://infrared.sourceforge.net). One of Kamal's article was recently published on TheServerSide.com (http://www.theserverside.com/tt/knowledgecenter/knowledgecenter.tss?l=AOPforAPM).

Whether delivering a training class or working on complex design/development project, Kamal combines deep technical and domain expertise together with his easy communication style, which helps create extremely rich end user experience - be it insightful technical discussions during training or powerful software solutions.

Kamal holds B.E in Computer Science and has worked with companies like Siemens, Oracle, Tavant Technologies, PlanetAsia Ltd. - to name a few, in various development/architect and consulting roles. Additionally, Kamal has significant experience in Training delivery for Spring Framework, Groovy & Grails, and related technologies (Enterprise Integration, dm Server, Rich Web Applications); customers who have benefited from Kamal's work recently include: GE, Fidelity, Cisco, Oracle, Intuit, ANZ, Yahoo, Sun Microsystems, Sungard, Accenture.

Kamal worked as Technical Architect at Tavant Technologies, where he was involved with a number of projects, including design and development of an Options Trading platform and Tavant Warranty Management System.

At Oracle India, Kamal was part of the Discoverer development team (Discoverer is an ROLAP based business intelligence / ad-hoc query tool), where he worked on design and implementation of key product features.

At Planetasia Ltd., Kamal led the team that built Traderbot, a stock screening (based on real- time search engine) application mainly targeted at day traders. Kamal designed and developed the core real-time stock search engine, news search engine, Trader Alert and a number of other key modules of the system.

Most recently, Kamal has been Senior Technical Architect and co-founder at TenXperts and LXI Technologies where he successfully delivered a number of design/development and consulting projects for customers - using various technologies/tools/apps like ActiveMQ, Ajax, CFX based web services, Mule ESB Engine, Grails, GWT, Portlets etc - and many more.
