Abstract

Communication is the backbone of modern civilization, be it humans or our devices. Yet, human communication is often through sentences and words, much of which is unstructured/unclear for a computer to understand. NLP (Natural Language Processing), a sub-field of Artificial Intelligence, attempts to bridge that gap by making that unstructured language understandable for computers in order to gain meaningful insights from it. 

Our tech evangelist Mohanaraj will take you through the concept of NLP and some common terminologies used. He will also throw light two common use cases, i.e. the Text Summarization Problem, wherein NLP can be leveraged to get proper summary of large reports/documents, and the Text Classification Problem – Sentiment Analysis, where businesses can leverage NLP to gain insights from written reviews and gauge the customer sentiment.
