As we all know, organizational culture refers to the values, beliefs, principles, and ideologies on which an organization operates. It impacts the organization-wide interactions and behavior. An ideal organization culture would ensure that employees deliver their best as well as enjoy what they do. A popular organization culture model, propounded by Edgar Schein is illustrated below. Schein’s model sets out to define three levels in an organization culture -Artifacts, Values, Basic Assumptions.
As you can see, this model proposes that culture is something that is dynamic and is affected by past experiences and actions performed every day and thus cannot be adopted in a single day. The basic aim of this model is demonstrating the quintessentially of an organization culture to its functioning.
