For Administrators

To qualify and earn a Salesforce Administrator credential, you need to have a solid understanding of the following concepts:

  • Building reports, dashboards, and workflow

Salesforce offers two levels of administrator credentials, namely Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.

Salesforce Certified Administrator

This certification tests and verifies the candidate’s knowledge of customizing Salesforce, managing users, configuring the platform, and discovering ways to derive more out of the features and capabilities provided in the Salesforce platform.

The qualifying exam for Salesforce Certified Administrator (Registration fee is $200) comprises 60 multiple-choice questions that are required to be finished within 110 minutes. The passing score is 65% is the passing score.

Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator

Designed for experienced professionals, this credential testifies the candidate’s skills and experience in using the advanced administration capabilities of Salesforce besides verifying his/her proficiency in dashboards, designing advanced reports, and automation processes.

The qualifying exam for Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (Registration fee is $200) comprises 60 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 90 minutes. The passing score is 65%.

For Developers

A Force.com Developer typically performs extreme customization of CRM applications and possesses the right mix of declarative and coding skills to extend and create completely customized applications on the Force.com platform for clients. The Salesforce certification for developers measures all these skills and testifies a candidate’s mettle.

The Salesforce offers three levels of developer certification designed to test a developer’s technical proficiency and the degree of real world experience. The three different levels are as follows:

Salesforce Certified Commerce Cloud Digital Developer

This certification verifies candidates’ skills and knowledge of using the Commerce Cloud Digital platform in order to develop an eCommerce solution. The concepts you need to grasp to earn this credential are:

  • Troubleshooting file synchronization issues between UX Studio and the sandbox environment
  • Working with the product data model to manage product inventory, the products, and their categorization

  • Configuring OCAPI permissions for Data and Shop APIs
  • Creating JavaScript controller that can render a template/JSON

The qualifying criteria involve solving 60 multiple-choice questions within 110 minutes and securing 70% score. The registration fee for this certification is $200.

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

Apt for experienced developers, this certification proves to employers that the candidate has the knowledge and skills to build custom declarative and programmatic applications on the Force.com platform.

Qualifying for this credential mandates a comprehensive knowledge of the following:

  • Designing of data model, user interface, business logic, and security for custom applications
  • Developing custom applications using Apex and Visualforce
  • Familiarity with a complete development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the available environments

Earning this credential mandates passing the qualifying exam consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 105 minutes and scoring 68%. The registration fee for the Platform Developer I certification is $200.

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II

The Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II credential demonstrates a candidate’s advanced knowledge of data modeling and the coding capabilities of the Force.com platform. It verifies a developer’s skills to create complex business logic and interfaces using the Force.com platform.

The qualifying exam for this certification tests the knowledge of:

  • Design, development, testing, and deployment of maintainable and reusable programmatic solutions
  • Apex design patterns and object-oriented programming best practices

Earning this certification is not an easy task though. You have to answer 60 multiple-choice questions within 120 minutes and score 63% to acquire the Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II credential. Registration fee is $400.
